Ben grew up in Stonington, immersed in its fishing community culture. During his years out of Maine, he became an accomplished humanitarian professional and business leader, working with rural communities all over the world. He is specialized in economic development, resilient market systems, and disaster risk reduction. Working with governments, businesses and non-profits, Ben has helped protect, restore, or strengthen livelihoods for hundreds of thousands of people and generated or protected tens of millions of dollars of assets for businesses and households in dozens of countries. Ben holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

Juri has held a number of high tech senior R&D engineering management positions cross a wide range of industries in the USA, Australia and Canada. A veteran with more than 20 years of professional experience, he has worked with customers in aviation, military and industrial design industries. He is specialized in guiding products from conceptual design through to prototype and delivery to market. With the apprenticeship training to become a industrial design model-maker and a degree in engineering from the FH- Münster in Germany, Juri is a hands-on creative developer. His track record of building noteworthy products stands out, as does his focus on innovation, creativity and design-thinking. Juri leads the development of state of the art technology with the accompanying products in the areas of sensors, UAVs and UUVs.
Chief Operating Officer
Kate’s passion is helping individuals and teams reach their highest potential. She specializes in behavioural sciences and change leadership within complex multi-actor systems. Kate holds a Masters in Organizational Development, and is certified in Human-Centred Design and Social System Transformation. She brings leading edge research and facilitation of social innovation practices into business ecosystems. With over 15 years experience within private, public and government organizations, she has the skills to progress business strategies that support a culture of high performance, team cohesion, engagement and learning.
Dr. Bob Bayer
Advisor, Lobster Science
Dr. Bayer has been involved in lobster research for nearly 30 years and since 1995 has been Executive Director of the Lobster Institute. He also serves
as an adjunct professor in Food Sciences and in 1979 was a visiting scientist at the Institute of Marine Biochemistry in Aberdeen, Scotland. He has taught a variety of courses, such as Endocrinology, Nutrition, Anatomy and Physiology, Marine Resources, and Aquaculture.
